The big reveal... sort of
Today, while editing, I came to a point in my story where there's a pretty pivotal reveal. It's the ninth chapter, and according to my general plotting outline (which, admittedly, I created after writing the story, but before really going through everything enough to know how things are going to actually go), I should be somewhere around the midpoint of my book. If I'm really truthful, I'd say I'm a third of the way at best.. probably closer to a quarter. Regardless though, just getting all of these chapters linked together has been a huge accomplishment. And, to be completely honest, they are still total crap... but they are less crappy than the utter word vomit I initially wrote when I was just trying to get everything out of my head and onto paper... so yay??
What are big moments for you when editing?
