Head's Up!

Well it has been a hot minute since I've done up a blog post, hasn't it?

Life has been hectic, as it usually is.. working and trying to balance that with a social life and still making strides on my novel edit. That being said, I have been putting out monthly updates via my newsletter, so subscribe to that if you want to know more about what I get up to each month!

Now down to business:

One of the first things people ask me when I tell them I'm working on a book is 'what's it about?' I've always sputtered along and tried to deliver some sort of synopsis without completely sounding like an idiot.. and been relatively successful. But the one thing I've always thought is 'how can I explain my awesome idea without sounding like I don't even know what my own book is about?'

A few months back, my best friend introduced me to a YouTube channel that has changed this: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEzkc9WE7mHodfO2L90Q28w in particular, there were a couple of different videos discussing book pitches - more specifically the elevator pitch (which is also conveniently easy to memorise and deliver anytime someone decides to ask the dreaded question "Ooooh, what's it about?")

So, my lovely readers, I present to you my elevator pitch!

No Limits is a Young Adult, Magical Realism novel about a young woman who wakes up with the power to make anything happen, and the secret government organisation who threaten her freedom.

Thoughts? Questions? ... Concerns?

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Today, while editing, I came to a point in my story where there's a pretty pivotal reveal. It's the ninth chapter, and according to my general plotting outline (which, admittedly, I created after writ
